We can write the square trinomial into (a+b)2 = a2+2ab+b2
1. if a=z in this question, then -5=2b, c=b2
so we can get b=-5/2, and c = 25/4
and the expression will be written into z2-5z+25/4 = (z-5/2)2
2.same for this one. -12=2b, c=b2
so b=-6, c=36, the expression will be written into (y-6)2
