If Jessica spent $57.46 and Jasmine spent $39.20, and both people purchased their items from the same vendor, how much did the vendor charge for a single tomato and a single ear of corn?

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
15T + 8C =5746
4T +12C =3920
multiply 2nd equation by 3.75,
subtract to eliminate T
solve for C = $2.42
plug that into either equation to solve for T = $2.54
