On this question we’re given the slope directly, m = 3/4. From there then you want to plug in the point (-8, 11) into the equation in order to solve for the value of “b”
y = 3/4x + b
11 = 3/4(-8) + b
11 = -6 + b
17 = b
Putting it all together then makes the equation here
y = 3/4x + 17 in slope intercept form
-3/4x + y – 17 = 0
3x – 4y + 68 = 0 in general form
