the perpendicular equation has a slope which is the negative inverse of 6/7. Just change the sign and flip the fraction upside down to get -7/6 = the slope = m. y=mx+b, y=-(7/6)x + b. Now plug in the point (12,-22) into y=-7x/6 + b and solve for b. b=-8
the perpendicular equation is y=-7x/6 -8
