You can go look up the meaning of Rational Function on the internet since there will many rational functions.
You can also look up Graphs of Rational Functions on the internet to see some images
In short "Rational" is analogous to Ratio as in like a fraction and means that the Function is a Ratio of two Polynomials such as (x2 + 3x + 2)/(x + 1)
Since any Ratio, like a fraction, will have numerator and denominator you cannot have division by zero
The Denominator cannot result in division by zero; Any point that would yield division by zero would result in limits, barriers or Asymptotes in your graph.
