the graph crosses the x axis at 0, -2 and 4. As x gets larger, it goes downhill due to the negative sign in front of the x. As x gets increasingly negative, the graph goes uphill. It's a 5 degree polynomial. It changes direction (down to up and up to down) 4 times. On the left side it's going downhill, then up, then down, then up, then down. plot a few simple points, such as x=0, 1, -1, 2, and -2. Try to draw a smooth curve through the points. Plot a few more points if you can't see where it's curving.
