Mathematics Teacher - NCLB Highly Qualified
−3x2 + y = −18x + 29
−3x2 − y = 18x − 25
Adding the two equations
-6x2 = 4
x2 = -2/3
No real solution exists.

I used a graphing calculator to study these two quadratics in x. They do not intersect , so there is no solution in terms or real numbers.
Simply adding them results in - 6 x2 = 4 which leads to a complex result for x.
The two complex results for x ± √2/3 i
can be plugged back into one of the equations to get a result for y.
