Hi Sanjida,
The main roles that I learned in class was that the salesperson has three main roles: Selling/Negotiating, Guidance, and Representation.
Selling/Negotiation of course means selling the actual product or service to the buyer and making a deal.
Guidance means that the salesperson will guide the buyer through all the steps required to buy the product/service and answer any questions or concerns that they might have.
Representation means that the salesperson does their best to thoroughly and accurately represent the company, product, or service that they are trying to sell/provide.
