A box office sells balcony seats, ground-level seats, and VIP passes for shows on tour. The table shows the numbers of each type of ticket sold and the revenues for the first three shows of a tour. What is the price of each type of ticket?

So we have got three different ranges of tickets.
Let's consider the price of Balcony ticket to be x
therefore, the price of Ground level ticket be y
and, the price of VIP ticket be z
Show 1: Revenue collected = $37,170 be C1
Show 2: Revenue collected = $42,240 be C2
Show 3: Revenue collected = $35,570 be C3
To Find: values of x,y,z
Solution:
C1: 135x + 280y + 29z = 37170
C2: 150x + 270y + 58z = 42240
C3: 130x + 265y + 29z = 35570
solving the three equations simultaneously.
x = 50, y = 90, z = 180
Hence, the cost of Balcony ticket is $50, Ground level ticket is $90 and the VIP ticket is $180.
