By the definition of composition we have that f(g(x))=f(4x-2)=3(4x-2)^2-2(4x-2)+1=3(16x^2+4-16x)-8x+4+1=48x^2+12-48x-8x+5=48x^2-56x+17. Then for f(g(2))=48(4)-56(2)+17=97.
