Hi Tammy H., I will get you started. If you pick 3 consecutive odd numbers, what is the pattern? Like 3, 5, 7.
It goes up by 2. So if the first number is x, then the next two odd numbers are x + 2 and x + 4. Remember that "sum" means to add. See if you can write the equation using x, x + 2, and x + 4 and solve it. Tom S.
