One number is six less than a second number. Three times the first is 7 more than 4 times the second. Find the numbers.

Let the two numbers be F and S, for first number and second number

F=S-6

3F = 7+4S

3(S-6) = 7+4S

3S-18 = 7+4S

S = -25

F=-25-6 = -31

First number is negative 31

Second number is negative 25
