You don’t specify the type of equation so I will use a quadratic and square root function as examples
The standard for of a quadratic is y=x^2
The compression multiplies the arguement , right/left shifts add or subtract and up/down shift up or down
so in the example given it would be 1/4(x-7)^2 +5
for a square root function it would be y=1/4(sqroot-7) + 5
for an absolute value equation it would be y=1/4 |(x-7)| +5
