V= 144 pi(r)^2= hpi(r)^2 = hpi(6)^2 = h(36pi)
144(36)pi = h(36)pi
h= 144 inches
That assumes the problem should read "144pi(r)^2" not with r^3
The volume of a cylinder is the area of the top x the height = pi(r)^2 x h
But if you really intended for V=144pi(r)^3 then V= 144pi(6)^3 = 864pi
still volume of a cylinder = pi(r)^2 x h so 36pi h = 864pi, then
pi cancels leaving 36h = 864
h= 864/36 = 24 inches
