x^2+5x+6
Break the middle term
x2 + 3x + 2x +6
from the first 2 terms taking x common and doing the same with the 3rd and 4th term by taking 2 common
x(x+3) + 2(x+3)
now taking (x+3) common from both term
(x+3)(x+2)
so the 2 factors are (x+3)(x+2)
To verify your answer, you can multiply the two factors to see if you ger original expression.
