Julio has 3 more dollars than Daniel. Altogether they have 19 dollars. How much money does each young man have?

Suppose Daniel has x dollars

so Daniel having $3 more than Julio, will have x+3 dollars

Sum of amt of money togather they have is

x + (x+3) = 19, solve for x

2x + 3 = 19

2x. = 19 - 3 = 16

x = 16/2.= 8. So Daniel has $8

And Julio has 8+3 = 11 Julio has $11
