If you graph 2, it's the same as graphing y=f(x)=2, which is a horizontal, flat line
shift it to the right 2 units, and it remains the same graph, the same equation, y=2

Hi Kyle, when translating points, you will be changing the x and/or y coordinate(s). For example, for a point (a,b), shifting it 2 units to the right increases the x coordinate by 2, so the new point would be (a+2, b). For leftwards translation you would subtract from the x-coordinate, upwards translation adds to the y-coordinate, and downwards translation subtracts from the y-coordinate. I hope this helps!
