2. If x cases of cancer were diagnosed, how many of these were melanoma?
3. There were a total of 73,000 cases of melanoma diagnosed in 2016. Find the total number of cancer cases in 2016.

(a) then 0.043x were melanoma

(b) 73000 = 0.043 x

73000000 = 43x

x = 73000000/43

x =1,697,675
