Slope ==> m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
If the x-int is (1,0) and a point is (-2,3) then plugging those in to the formula for slope gives you ==> m = (-2-1)/(3-0) ==> m = -3/3 ==> m = -1
Now, plug that into the slope-intercept formula ==> y-y1 = m(x-x1) ==> y-3 = -1(x-(-2)) ==>y-3 = -1(x+2) ==> y-3 = -x-2 ==> y = -x+1
Therefore, the formula for the line is y = -x+1
