So if you take the equation y = mx + b and you take the current equation f(x) = 3x - 2 you can see y = f(x)
m = 3 and b = -2
A) to find the y intercept we set x equal to 0 and solve the equation
y = 3x - 2
x = 0
y = 3(0) - 2
y = -2
So FALSE for first one
B)to find the x intercept we set y equal to 0
y = 3x - 2
y = 0
0 = 3x - 2
Add 2 to both sides
2 = 3x
Divide 3 to both sides
2/3 = x
so the answer is TRUE
C)So take the equation y = mx + b and f(x) = 3x - 2
we see that m = 3 in this case so the answer is TRUE
