A friendly college graduate who'd love to help with STEM classes!
I bake quite a bit, and dividing up ingredients is also a huge challenge for me! Fortunately, with some simple math, we can figure out just how much milk you need.
The first conversion like to do is that 1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons = 12 teaspoons.
So, if for 8 eggs you use 12 teaspoons of milk, that means you use 1 1/2 teaspoons (12/8) of milk per egg.
So for 3 eggs, you should use 4 1/2 teaspoons of milk. I hope this helps!
