I need help with these 2 questions

Question

1) A wheelchair ramp must form an angle no greater than 4.8 degrees with the ground. If a 1.8 foot high ramp is needed, what is the minimum horizontal length for the ramp so it satisfies the angle requirement? Include a sketch.

2)Solve the triangle below without using either cosine or tangent ratios. Show the work.

Well if x is the horizontal length, 1.8/x = tan (4.8) , so x = 1.8/ tan (4.8) = 21.44 degrees. (make sure your calculator is working in degrees).

As for the second.

a/16 = sin (23). So a = 16 sin 23 = 6.25

b²=c²-a²=256 - (16sin23)²
