how does it go from "y - 4 = (-4/3) (x + 3)" then to be simplified as "y - 4 = (-4/3)x - 4"? Where does the "+3" go and where does the "-4" come from?

The right-hand side was (-4/3)(x+3) first, and then I used the distributive property, because the right-hand side is now a "mini multiplication problem." So (-4/3) times x is (-4/3)x, and (-4/3) times 3 is -4. If you did (-4/3) times 3 on paper, you would be able to see that -4 times 3 is on the top of the fraction, and 3 is on bottom. You could cross out the three in common to get -4. This is how I got y - 4 = (-4/3)x - 4. Please let me know if I can clarify further!
