Odd factoring problem

Is this possible?

How would I factor x2-4x+7 if the answer must include (x+5)?

Thanks for your help!

Thank you. I had an idea that dividing was the first step. I still don't quite see why you subtract 5 nor exactly what the second factor would be: (x+?) I'm also extremely curious about why my other commenter is wrong? Because even though the (x+5) is given in the problem, -5 is not, in fact a root for this equation, right? Thanks again for your help.

x+5 is a factor means that x = -5 is a root.
