I don’t understand these questions!

.) Graph f(x)=x^2+2x-3 in a program. Draw the axis of symmetry, label the vertex, and both x intercepts.

.)Using the separated quadratic formula, calculate the left term -b/2a for f(x)=x^2+2x-3.

.)Compare your answer from part 2 with your vertex and axis of symmetry in the graph. What do you notice? Use complete sentences.

.)Using the separated quadratic formula, calculate the right term +\- (square root) b^2-4ac/2a for f(x)=x^2+2x-3.

.)Looking back at the graph, find the horizontal distance along the x axis from the vertex to each x intercept.

.)Compare your answers for parts 4 and 5. What do you notice? Use complete sentences.

.)Summarize your findings. Explain the relationship between the terms of the quadratic formula and the graph of a quadratic function. Use complete sentences.
