Let x represent the number of assists required to achieve Frank's objective .

 

Needed equation : ( 5+8+4 + 3 + 7 + 5 + 7 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 4 + x ) / 14  =  6

 

55 + x = 84 -------> x  =  29

So far he has 55 assists in 11 games.  Since there are 3 games left, there will be a total of 14 games in the season.  In order to average 6 assists per game at the end of the season, he will need a total of 6 * 14 = 84 assists.  Since he has 55 now, he will need another 29 assists in the last 3 games.
