boyle's law states that the volume of a gas varies inversely with applied pressure. suppose the gas pressure on 60 cubic meters of gas is raised from 1 atmosphere to 3 atmosoheres. what nwe volume does the gas occupy?

V = 60/P

for P = 3, V = 60/3 = 20
