In f(x), replace x by x - 2 to obtain y = -3(x + 4)2 - 8. (This amounts to translating the graph of y = f(x) two units to the right).
Then, add 6 to the right side of the previous equation to get y = -2(x + 4)2 - 2 = g(x). (so we translated the graph of y = -3(x + 4)2 - 8 six units upward).
So, we can obtain the graph of y = g(x) from the graph of y = f(x) by translating f(x) two units to the right and six units upward.
