The diameter of the wheel is 22 inches. Thus the circumference of the wheel is d*pi = 22*3.14159... ~ 69.11498 inches. Since the wheel is rotating at 600 rpr, in one minute a fixed point on the wheel would move 600*69.11498 inches = 41,468.988 ~ 41,469 inches. One mile = 5280 feet = 5280*12 = 63.360 inches. In one minute the wheel would have rotated approximately 41,469/63,360 = 0.6545 miles. Therefore the speed of the car in terms of miles per hour = 60 minutes/hour * 0.6545 miles/minute = 39.27 miles/hour.
