Working together, it takes two different sized hoses 30 minutes to fill a small swimming pool. If it takes 40 minutes for the larger hose to fill the swimming pool by itself, how long will it take the smaller house to fill the pool on its own?

1/job 1 + 1/job 2 = 1/total time together
Let x = amount of time for smaller hose
The equation would be
1/x+1/(x+40) = 1/30
Can you solve the equation for x?
