1) write general formula for Exponential Equation Y = a(b)^x
2) plug in order pairs of 2 points (-2,72) and (2,8/9). You will get 72=a(b)^-2 and another equation 8/9=a(b)^2
3) Solve the system of equation by dividing both sides. a will be deleted and b^4=1/3^4 and b=1/3. Plug in 1/3 you will get a=8
4) your equation will be Y = 8(1/3)^X
