Hello! When a graph is translated 4 units down you are moving all of the y values. This makes it the easiest translation that we do, other than no translation! All you have to do is subtract 4. Your equation is y=x2 - 4. If you wanted to move the graph up it is addition and if you want to move it down it is subtraction. When you translate right to left it is more complicated!
