y=a(x-h)^2+k is the vertex form of a parabola
(2,3) is the vertex
y=a(x-2)^2+3
the y-intercept is (0,-1)
-1=a(0-2)^2+3
-1=a(4)+3
-1-3=4a
4a=-4
a=-1
y=-(x-2)^2+3 is the equation in vertex form
y=-x^2+4x-4+3
y=-x^2+4x-1 is the standard form
