The answer is as follows:
1) The vertical asymptote is x = -4 since a logarithmic function no matter the base is not defined when you try and take the log base anything of 0 or anything negative. When x = - 4 it defines the function's asymptote.
2)The domain of this logarithmic function is (-4, 00 ) "00" mean positive infinity.
3) The x intercept of this function is when x = -3 since the value resulting by the substitution will be 1, and the log base anything of 1 is 0. The y intercept is when you substitute 0 in for x since in this transformation you can do this and the output value for y would be 1.
4) The transformation of the original parent function "y = log 2 x " is this transformation moves 4 units horizontally to the left and 1 unit vertically down from the original.
