Try searching for the file that was initially downloaded. Usually deleting that deletes everything else.

asked 01/12/20I am trying to uninstall an app called "Goodgame Empire". However, when I deleted the app in the recycling bin, the app was there in settings in my storage. I went to the Control Panel a uninstall the app completely, but the app couldn't uninstall. I tried multiple time but it doesn't tell me anything. I need to know how to fix this.

Please do not use this method! Deleting one file will almost NEVER remove a program from Windows 10. Deleting one file in windows only moves that single file to the recycle bin. When a program is installed, that means it saves files, folders and registry entries all around your computer. Stubborn programs will even install features that can alter the way your PC behaves using services, drivers, add-ins and browser extensions. Even if you delete the main executable file for a program, there will be many files left over that could take up space on your computer, compromise your privacy, waste your network bandwidth and otherwise cause your computer not to function as intended. Some of these other features may also be programmed to re-install files that you deleted from the web. This is true for both malware and Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs). Microsoft requires app developers to provide an 'uninstaller' for their app which removes all the customizations it has performed to your PC when you select it from the Windows Control Panel. Sadly, some developers abuse Windows and do not provide an uninstaller so they can keep their programs around. Free programs almost always do this, especially if they make their money by tracking your browsing habits and selling it to advertisers. In addition 'the file that was initially downloaded' is usually an installer file. Once the file is run, all the actual program files are placed around your computer, usually in program file folders and data folders where average users will not look. Deleting the initially downloaded file will not remove almost any modern programs from your PC. I would recommend you see my answer for more information on how to completely remove programs that you would like to get rid of from Windows 10.07/11/21
