what does it mean when the directions says "solve each equation using the quadratic formula. leave solutions in radical form." then it shows the quadratic formula.

im a high school student and i have a very strict teacher that does not give you alot of chances and if u dont do ur homework you have to call your parents and she would not take any excuses. so i need some to answer me right now.

"TO SOLVE" means to find the values of x that make the equation true. Point (2) SOLVES of x when you put the values of a, b, and c into the quadratic equation. For example: x = (-3 ± √26)/2
