L^2/3 + 3L = 162 m^2

L^2 + 9L - 486 = 0

use the quadratic formula

L = -9/2 + (1/2)sqr(81 + 4(486))

L = (45-9)/2 = 36/2 = 18 meters long

W =3+18/3 = 3+6 = 9 meters wide

18x9 = 162
