There area of a rectangular field is X² - X - 72 m. The length is the field is X + 8 m. What is the with of the field in meters?

A = x² - x - 72 = (x - 9)(x + 8)

W = A/L = [(x - 9)(x + 8)] / (x + 8) = x - 9
