Hi Lia, the idea here is to take the denominator (3 - i) and multiply it by its positive counterpart (3+i). To do this, you need to multiply the numerator and denominator by (3+i), which yields 5(3+i)/(3-i)(3+i) = 15+5i/(9 - i^2). Simplify this, and you get 15+5i/(9 - (-1)) = 15+5i/10. Simply reduce the fraction from here for (3+i)/2 !
