X(2x+3)=9
X*2x+X*3= 9 Here I have assumed that there are Capital X and small x. but it doesn't make sense unless the question specified find which X, then we can solve it and find the answer which would be in terms of the other x.
IF X=x, then 2x^2 + 3x -9= 0 This is a quadratic equation which can be solved in different methods the most straight forward way is using the quadratic formula, x1,x2= (-b+/-√b2- 4ac)/2b to find the two roots and then put them in a factors form. a=2 , b=2 -9 as in ax2+bx+c=0
(2x-3)(x+3)=0
x1=3/2
x2=-3
