a_n=4+(-1)ⁿ

for n=10, 4 + (-1)^10 = 4 + 1 = 5

the sequence is 3, 5, 3, 5, 3, 5, 3, 5, 3, 5, ....

This sequence doesn't seem to be recursive. a_n+1 is not defined in terms of a_n.

So, we can simply plug in 10 for n:

a₁₀=4+(-1)¹⁰=4+1=5
