This is same as previous problem you posted. 

Assume cost is $c to rent a chair and $t to rent a table

 

3c+5t = 35

6c +2t = 20

 

Multiply eq 1 by 2

6c + 10 t = 70

 

Subtract eq 2

8t = 50

t = 6.25

 

6c + 2*6.25 = 20

C = 1.25
