y=mx+b m=slope b=y-intercept. With m=3/4 and b=-7 the equation is
y=3x/4-7 or to remove fractions, multiply by 4 to get 4y=3x-28
point slope requires a point. If you know the y-intercept of -7 that's the same as the point (0,-7)
(y+7)/(x-0)=m=3/4 rise over run = slope
y+7=3x/4 or multiply through by 4 to get 4y+28=3x
in either case, sometimes the preferred final equation is of the ax+by=a constant form
or 3x-4y=28 or some instructors like it all on the left side like 3x-4y-28=0
