The sum of two numbers is 75. Twice the first number is 22 more than the second number. Find the numbers.

The fist number is X

2X - 22 is the second number.

x + 2x-22 = 75

3x - 22 = 75

3x = 97

x = 32 and 1/3

the other number is 2( 32 and 1/3) - 22

= 64 and 2/3 - 22

= 42 and 2/3

so 32 and 1/3 and 42 and 2/3
