If we allow complex roots, then the polynomial can be factored as follows:
3x2 + 2 = 0
x2 = -2/3
x = ±√(2/3) i
3x2 + 2 = 3(x2 + 2/3) = 3(x - √(2/3) i)(x + √(2/3) i)
