If a vertical line is drawn through the point (4, 3), at what point will it intersect the x-axis?
The Point (4,3) has coordinates of x=4 and y=3
At the intersection of a line and the x-axis, the value of y = 0
x = 4 for all the points on a vertical line - the x coordinate does not change.
So the point of intersection with the x-axis is where x=4 and y=0:
Point (4,0) is the answer you seek.
