 hours, resulting in a total water output of 2225L

. How long was each sprinkler used?

y = number of hours for Sanders

x + y = 65

25x + 40y = 2225

Multiply the first equation by -25 and add to the second equation to get: 15y = 600

So, y = 40 hours and x = 25 hours
