solve for the inverse of f(x) = x^2 +2x + 1

This is the original problem and I need to solve for the inverse of it. I know I change the x's to y's and vice versa and solve for y, but I don't know how to do that.

Y= X²+2X+1 = (X+1)²

So. Take square root of both sides and get Y^(1/2) = X+1 or X= Y^(1/2)- 1
