There are a number of methods for generating free leads for your business. Here are some key recommendations:
- Social media: Promote your services on all your social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) If you don't have one already, create a Facebook page for your business and post regularly.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Make sure that your company website is set up so that it is easy for customers to find you on search engines such as Google. There are tons or tips and tricks on SEO out there, but most of them boil down to the following: On your website, clearly describe your company, your products and services, and why they would benefit your customers.
- Networking: Word of mouth is still very powerful in today's connected world. Tell your friend and family about your business. Here you can also tie in social media by posting to your online friends/family as well. Also look for local professional networking groups or associations that you can join.
- Media Relations: This is a little more "old school" but look to reach out to local media to see if you could be featured in an article or news segment. Make sure when you reach out, that you are answering the #1 question on their minds- "what's in it for me?" If you can tie your products or services to items of interest to the local community (sports teams, charities, local event or need, etc) then you'll have a greater chance of being featured.
