I'm reading this the same as ( -3 b4) 3 divided by (a) 3
(-3)3 * (b 4) 3 = -27 (b )12 Use the exponent rule for a power with a power, or another way to say it is an exponent with an exponent, so multiply the exponents 3 * 4 = 12
Divide that answer by (a) 3
the result does not simplify so the answer is ( -27 b12) / (a3).
